Westchester Works

 

I am Brent Jacobson in Westchester (Los Angeles), California. I have been a member of the “Traditional Wet Shaving" community since 2014. Being a straight razor shaver that loves companies of the 1800's like George Wostenholm, Rockingham Works and Rodgers & Sons, Norfolk Works, naming my endeavor was easy. 

 

From the get go of joining this hobby I have been in my shop finding how I could make myself things I wanted. I wanted a skull brush, so I made myself one and quickly learned others wanted one too (the birth of The original Skully). I wanted a custom turned brush, so I got a lathe (I learned to turn as a kid in my fathers shop). It even lead to buying a forge and taking up metal working, even made my first straight razor (not something I am ready to do for the public yet though).

 

I love every aspect of this hobby, but the hand made hardware has been a passion for me. Up to this point, I have been selling through e-mails and PMs and I will continue with that using PayPal as my payment method. This site is just a way to make it easier to show what I have available at the moment, and to have a HOME for all my items like, "Skully Brushes" and "The Smith Razors”.
